Group events

All group projects must be checked in by 6:30 p.m. on Thursday. Each group is responsible for removing thier project after judging is over.

Note: for all required judging forms, please visit our resource center.

Stammtisch

Each school may only submit one Stammtisch project and it should display the school's name and represent the current FASG theme.

School Banner

The school banner must follow the theme. All words must be in German. School name on banner is optional.

Scrapbook

The scrapbook is a record of a German class or club's current school year activities. The desgin must follow the current FASG theme.

Bunter Abend

Only 10 schools may participate in this activity. Each school may only have one performance entered. Each school is allowed two minutes to set up and 8 minutes to perform. Performances do NOT need to follow the current FASG theme. Performances can be songs, skits, dances, or anything else of entratainment value entirely in German.

Volleyball Tournament

The volleyball tournament is held on the beach behind the hotel. If your school will be aprticipating, please register upon arrival.

Sandcastle Competition

Students make sandcastles that represent German castles. Please register for this event upon arrival.

Wettbewerb

There are three levels of Wettbewerb: Level 1 (German 1 students), Level 2 (German 2 and 3 students), and Level 3 (German 4 and 5 students as well as Special Students). Native Speaker Students do not compete in Wettbewwerb. Each team has up to 4 students.

Each team will be asked the same set of questions, and the teams with the highest number of points will advance to the Finals. Each room will have two judges, and the judges' decisions are final.
