Competition Details

April _____________ at Daytona Beach Resort and Conference Center in Daytona Beach, Florida.

Theme:  Deutsche Musik

Dress Code for the Competition:

The dress code for the convention will be the same as public school dress code.  Shirts and shoes must be worn in public areas of the hotel at all times.  No swimwear is to be worn to contest, convention events, or inside the hotel without proper clothes over it.  Wear semi-formal attire to the dinner on Friday night.  Please dress professionally for all events.

Chaperones:

Each middle and high school must bring one adult chaperone for every 10 students, or a fraction thereof.  Each individual 4th and 5th grade student must have a parent/guardian as chaperone.  There must be a chaperone available at all times.  Chaperone responsibilities include:  supervising assigned students, enforcing curfew regulations, checking hotel rooms for loss and damages, helping to proctor written tests, and maintaining a list of medical problems,

phone numbers as well as emergency phone numbers.

The German students at the FASG Convention have established a good reputation for themselves, and we expect students to conduct themselves in a manner that will reflect favorably upon the FASG.  All sponsors and chaperones have the responsibility to assist in the supervision of students.

Meals:

The registration fee includes dinner on Friday night.  Other than that, students are responsible for their own meals during the convention.  There are many local restaurants and a grocery store located within walking distance of the hotel.  There is also a restaurant in the hotel which is open from 7am to 10pm.

Name Tags:

FASG name tags must be worn at all times.  Student photos must be printed on to the name tag itself, not glued on.  Students, chaperones, and teachers, without a school name badges, will be required to have them made at the convention.  The cost for the name tags is five ($5) dollars.  Until proper name tags are given to the students, they will not be allowed to compete in any events.  Name Tags must also be completed with school and event information.
